## About Deerhorn Ranch There was a time when my life looked very different. For years, I lived in the corporate world — dressed in high heels, driving a BMW, chasing success, and doing everything I thought I was *supposed* to do. On paper, it looked great. But after COVID, like so many people, I started asking myself harder questions. **Is this really the life I want?** **Is this pace sustainable?** **What actually matters most?** What I kept coming back to was family, purpose, and a deep desire to build something real. So my family took a leap of faith. We bought raw land in the Santa Cruz Mountains and built Deerhorn Ranch from the ground up — not just as a place to live, but as a place to come back to what matters. We poured our hearts into every part of it. What started as dirt, vision, and a whole lot of hard work slowly became something beautiful: a ranch filled with horses, fresh air, open space, and room to breathe. I traded in the corporate job, the BMW, and the high heels for a dump truck, cowgirl boots, and a dream. And honestly? I’ve never felt more like myself. Deerhorn Ranch was born out of a desire for a slower, more meaningful life — one rooted in connection, healing, family, and the outdoors. Over time, I realized this land wasn’t just changing *my* life. It had the power to hold space for other people’s healing too. That realization became the foundation for **Connection Therapy at Deerhorn Ranch**. Today, Deerhorn Ranch is more than a ranch. It’s a place where people can step away from the noise, the pressure, and the constant demands of everyday life and reconnect with themselves in a different way. Surrounded by horses, nature, and the quiet rhythm of the land, clients are invited into a space that feels grounding, safe, and deeply human. As a therapist, my passion is helping adults, teens, and families navigate anxiety, burnout, trauma, overwhelm, and life transitions. I believe healing doesn’t always happen best under fluorescent lights and four office walls. Sometimes it happens outside, with your feet on the ground, your nervous system finally exhaling, and a horse nearby reminding you what calm, presence, and connection can feel like. The ranch reflects so much of what I believe about healing: * that slowing down matters * that our nervous systems need safety, not more pressure * that connection is powerful medicine * and that sometimes the bravest thing we can do is build a life that actually feels like our own Deerhorn Ranch is my family’s labor of love, but it’s also part of my story — a story of walking away from a life that no longer fit, trusting the unknown, and creating something with heart. If you’re here, maybe you’re craving that too. A little more peace. A little more space to breathe. A little more connection to yourself. If so, I’d be honored to welcome you here.
